Marvin: Hey, folks, it's Marvin Cash, the host of the Articulate Flower,

Speaker:

Marvin: back with another Roosh report with the man himself, Brendan Roosh. Brendan, how are you?

Speaker:

Brendan : I'm doing well, coming up a little travel leg, per usual. How are you doing?

Speaker:

Marvin: As always, just trying to stay out of trouble, and you know,

Speaker:

Marvin: it's interesting, right?

Speaker:

Marvin: You were telling me that you're kind of cooling off, but you're getting ready

Speaker:

Marvin: to warm up again, so things might be slightly funky, right?

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, I think we're going to have a prolonged just kind of mixed period where you're able to fish,

Speaker:

Brendan : topwater probably I would say fishing buggy style fishing most of the day and then,

Speaker:

Brendan : evening and morning you probably get away with doing some bait fish style popping.

Speaker:

Brendan : But yeah, I think fishing bait over weeds or Um, but the waters are to speed

Speaker:

Brendan : up, like in a tail out, some boulders to fish and bait fish patterns.

Speaker:

Brendan : And then, uh, crayfish, you know, pretty much anywhere mid river,

Speaker:

Brendan : um, second drop boulders fishing, you know, where you're going to fish the bait fish patterns too.

Speaker:

Brendan : But I, it's going to be a nice couple of weeks of mild temperatures and it's

Speaker:

Brendan : pretty consistent. It looks like.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, it's interesting, right? I mean, I would have guessed that the bait fish

Speaker:

Marvin: kind of makes sense, right? because the bait fish is basically as big as it's

Speaker:

Marvin: going to get this season, right?

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, and they're out and about right now. They're everywhere.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, because they've got to basically put the feed bag on so that when they

Speaker:

Marvin: huddle up and try to stay warm this winter and get eaten by big fish, they can make it, right?

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, exactly.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, and so on the question front, kind of funny, we didn't get a serious question

Speaker:

Marvin: this week, which is kind of funny, but we did get a non-serious question from

Speaker:

Marvin: someone who must know you.

Speaker:

Marvin: His handle is Danny Waskey, and he wanted you to tell folks about your rubber

Speaker:

Marvin: leg dice and wondered if it would help him with his live scoping.

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, Danny boy, he's real into that forward-facing sonar game.

Speaker:

Brendan : He's got one hooked up on his buddy's raft now. Um,

Speaker:

Brendan : so yeah, I think, you know, a really dense soft plastic cube with about 30 silicone

Speaker:

Brendan : legs sticking out of it probably be pretty good to pester those fish on your live scope.

Speaker:

Brendan : Just kind of piss them off, maybe make them question, you know,

Speaker:

Brendan : why do I eat the things I eat and should I eat that one?

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah. When you, uh, when you live scope, do you have a favorite kind of fish

Speaker:

Marvin: food you like to shake out on the water? Yeah.

Speaker:

Brendan : Um, you know, I don't have a lot of experience with fish food,

Speaker:

Brendan : but I'm picturing some stuff that, you know, just some planks you feed goldfish, but out of a cannon.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, maybe, uh, maybe like a potato gun or a slingshot with maybe puppy chow or something like that.

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, that's some, some boys, uh, doing the white I heard.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, there you go. All the cool kids are live scoping, right? Yeah.

Speaker:

Brendan : Well, no, more so the puppy child than the live scoping.

Speaker:

Marvin: Gotcha. Well, it's kind of funny that we didn't get a serious question this

Speaker:

Marvin: time, but you know, folks, we love questions on the Articulate Fly.

Speaker:

Marvin: You can email them to me or DM me on social media.

Speaker:

Marvin: And as I always invite you guys, you can go to the website and you can leave

Speaker:

Marvin: me a voicemail with your question. You may actually hear it on the episode.

Speaker:

Marvin: So if we use your question, I will send you some Articulate Fly fly schwag.

Speaker:

Marvin: And then we've got a great kind of a schwag combo from Brendan.

Speaker:

Marvin: We got, you know, ruchingling stuff. We got log jam stuff and house fly stuff, right?

Speaker:

Brendan : Yes, sir. It'll be a sweet grab bag. Once we do that raffle or the pick, pick the winner.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah. And you've got, I think you told me you had some temporary tattoos.

Speaker:

Marvin: You're going to add to the mix as well.

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, we got ruchingling temporary tattoos. We got the toad that, uh, Dan Santoro gave me.

Speaker:

Brendan : We got, we got replicas of that. Some FTW tattoos.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, well, there you go. Well, before I let you go this evening,

Speaker:

Marvin: you want to let folks kind of know kind of what you have available for kind

Speaker:

Marvin: of the balance of your smallmouth season and how to get in touch and all that kind of good stuff?

Speaker:

Brendan : Yeah, I've got days available in October. Hopefully, it'll cool down a little

Speaker:

Brendan : bit more by then and we'll get some consistent larger bait fish bites.

Speaker:

Brendan : So that'll be fun. on and you can reach me at Brendan Roosh on Instagram,

Speaker:

Brendan : Roosh Angling and Brendan Roosh on Facebook.

Speaker:

Brendan : And, uh, yeah, you want to kind of get on that late, late fall swim fly bite

Speaker:

Brendan : and that'll be the time to do it.

Speaker:

Brendan : And it should be pretty good. We should have some water.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah. And is it, um, is it too early for folks to kind of reach out and get

Speaker:

Marvin: on your musky calendar down in Virginia?

Speaker:

Brendan : Virginia? Um, no, they can, they can reach out and, uh, we can,

Speaker:

Brendan : we can even do some stuff in PA as well.

Speaker:

Marvin: Oh, well, there you go. And you know, it's, uh, it's funny. I think last time

Speaker:

Marvin: we got the update on the Delaware river club cleanup, you have any more events

Speaker:

Marvin: like that, or you're going to

Speaker:

Marvin: get a tattoo and an iron fly or anything you need to let folks know about?

Speaker:

Brendan : No, uh, nothing on the horizon right now, but we'll get posted.

Speaker:

Marvin: Yeah, there you go. Well, you know, folks, uh, we're kind of getting to the

Speaker:

Marvin: tail end of summer, getting ready to slide into fall.

Speaker:

Marvin: And I can promise you that in January or February, you're going to wish you got out and caught a few.

Speaker:

Marvin: Tight lines, everybody. Tight lines, Brendan.

Speaker:

Brendan : Take care, Marvin. Take care, everyone.
