S6, Ep 19: Casting Angles with Mac Brown

Dive into a fresh episode of The Articulate Fly with host Marvin Cash as he joins forces with the insightful Mac Brown for another engaging session of Casting Angles. Mac, a fountain of fly fishing wisdom, shares his thoughts on setting intentions for the season and challenges anglers to question the "whys" behind their techniques rather than just memorizing rules.

The duo delves into the evolution of leaders, debunking myths rooted in the days of silk lines and horsehair. Mac illuminates the topic with his expertise, explaining how modern materials like Chameleon mono have revolutionized leader construction, allowing for fewer knots and more direct energy transfer. The conversation also touches on the practicalities of leader maintenance, offering tips to prolong their life and save some cash for other indulgences.

Whether you're prepping for a season of dry flies or streamers, this episode of The Articulate Fly is a treasure trove of knowledge that will inspire you to approach the water with a fresh perspective. So, tune in, refine your craft and, remember, tight lines!
